Do you have a welcome article as the first article on your frontpage? Do you have to "re-order" your frontpage every time you write a new article because the new article gets placed above your welcome article?
There are usually a simple solution to complex problems :o)
If your Joomla! system is set up with "No particular order", or "Frontpage ordering only", it means that every time you write a new article, it will be placed on top of the existing ones. That way your welcome article will soon be placed on the last page.
To exclude your welcome article from the common sorting order, you can do this:
Go to the Frontpage manager in the administration backend (Content -> Front Page Manager).
Locate your welcome article
Change the value in the "Order"-field into a negative value.
If you have only one welcome article that you want to allways keep on top, you can change the value in the order field to -1.
All new articles will be created with a positive sort value (e.g. 1, 2, 3)
and will be placed below welcome article.
If you use Most recent ordering as your front page sort order, you can set the created date of your welcome article to a date in the feature, e.g. 2020-12-30 or something similar. Then it will be on top of the front page until 2020.
